Did you know we are more than halfway from the winter solstice to the first day of spring? Winter has been flying by while we have been working hard to bring lots of fun activities to the lake as the weather gets warmer. We have cleanups and hikes, informative programs, a native plant sale, student field trips, and our annual Lake Hopatcong Block Party, all in the next few months! One of the best parts of our busy spring season is getting to see so many of our volunteers again after the quieter winter.
Before things really get busy, we’d like to extend a warm invitation to all of our past volunteers and those who are interested in volunteering to join us for our annual volunteer orientation. This informative session provides an opportunity to reconnect, introduce any updates to our policies and procedures, and outline exciting upcoming volunteer opportunities. Our 2024 volunteer orientation is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, at 7 pm, and will be conducted via Zoom. You can register to join us HERE.
From helping with upcoming events to lending a hand with trail maintenance, combating invasive species, or joining educational cruises, there's a myriad of ways to make a meaningful impact, and we deeply appreciate your interest in fostering positive change for our lake and community!
