Amid all of the changes and uncertainty surrounding life during the Covid-19 pandemic, Lake Hopatcong has remained a source of recreation, relaxation, and beauty. And we cannot remember a summer where the lake was more used than in 2020… seven days a week, from the first warm days in the spring right through Labor Day, it has been hopping with all kinds of activity and enjoyment. Now that the summer days are coming to an end, we hope the community joins us as we reflect on how essential the lake has been for our health this year. There has never been a better time to show your appreciation for Lake Hopatcong than right now. As we prepare for our Virtual Lake Loop, which will take place from October 1 to 11, we ask you to take a moment to think about how important Lake Hopatcong is to YOU, and please consider registering for this event, creating a fundraising team, or donating to a participant. Those dollars help take care of the lake we all love and will help ensure it remains the lovely and refreshing escape it has been for so many of us during such turbulent and stressful times.

John Thorson said, “Water links us to our neighbor in a way more profound and complex than any other.” In 2020, our appreciation for our water and for our neighbors has never been stronger. Support our Virtual Lake Loop and help the Lake Hopatcong Foundation continue its mission to support both Lake Hopatcong and its surrounding community, now and for years to come.
