The Lake Loop is here and the weather looks fantastic! Would you join us for a lakeside Sunday Funday at this year’s Lake Loop? You will have the choice of biking, hiking, or paddling, followed by food, music, beer garden, games, and great times!
Pre-registration for the event ends at noon tomorrow, Saturday, October 5, but you can still join us for onsite registration, which starts at 7:15 am on event day goes throughout the morning!
- Bike (62, 40, or 20 miles - well marked with rest stops): $50
- Educational Hike (just under 2 miles with learning stations): $35
- Paddle (2.5 miles and only $10 more to rent a boat): $50
Children ages 6-16 are only $10, and kids 5 years and younger are FREE (age restrictions apply). Everyone’s entry fee includes a lunch of soup and a sandwich from Roxbury Diner and Carmine’s, a drink ticket for the Liquor Factory-sponsored beer garden for those of age (permit #125375), and a commemorative Lake Loop t-shirt for adults and a Lake Hopatcong patch for kids. For our early risers, there will be complimentary bagels, thanks to Bagels on the Hill, and coffee, thanks to Dunkin Donuts. All water at the event – at the rest stops and the pavilion- has been provided gratis by Culligan.
A schedule of activities, FAQs, and details/routes for the rides, hike, and paddle are available on lakeloop.org.
We would also like to take a moment to thank the individuals and teams who are additionally fundraising to support our mission of protecting and improving our lake.
Prizes will be announced for the top fundraising team and individual on Sunday at Noon, based on funds raised by 5 pm on Saturday. And for every $100 an individual raises, they will receive a free seat on a 2025 Eco-cruise aboard the Floating Classroom! Our fundraising page will remain open after the event for any participant who would like to help us raise money to protect and improve our lake, and any well-wishers who would like to congratulate a participant and support us with a donation.
The Lake Loop relies on a village of volunteers, partners, sponsors, and supporters to ensure its success, and we’d like to once again thank each of our volunteers, sponsors and partners, emergency service folks, and participants for coming together for another great event that celebrates our lake as a recreational resource and helps raise funds to protect it!
