Registration is open for the Northwest New Jersey Rivers Conference on Saturday, September 17, from 8:30 am – 4 pm at the Lackland Center at Centenary University in Hackettstown.
The Northwest New Jersey Rivers Conference, now in its fourth year, explores the relationship between our region’s water resources and our quality of life. This year’s conference will focus on tourism and leveraging the region’s incredible natural resources.
Organized by the Northwest New Jersey partners of the four-state Delaware River Watershed Initiative, the conference offers a series of more than a dozen workshops along with a presentation by keynote speaker New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way.
Our own Executive Director, Kyle Richter, will be presenting a workshop along with LHF Trustee Kerry Kirk Pflugh, who also serves as New Jersey Conference of Mayors Executive Director and Friends of the New Jersey School of Conservation President. They will be discussing two of northwestern New Jersey’s hidden gems for outdoor educational and recreational fun: Lake Hopatcong and the New Jersey School of Conservation in Stokes State Forest.
