Our first community drop-off day for shrink wrap recycling was such a success that we are hosting another one! So, if you haven’t yet removed the protective shrink wrap from your vessel, there is still time to have it recycled and turned into composite deck material or even an Adirondack chair!
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation, Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority, Roxbury Clean Communities, and Jefferson Township have partnered with UltraPoly, a Pennsylvania-based company, to offer free shrink wrap recycling. Boaters around Lake Hopatcong can bring their properly prepared shrink wrap (click HERE for video instructions or see below) for recycling to the Jefferson Health Center on June 1 from 9 am to 12 pm.
Staff from the Lake Hopatcong Foundation will be on-site to oversee the proper handling of shrink wrap for recycling.
We welcome you to participate in this recycling initiative to reduce waste and contribute to a more sustainable environment. See you there!
