To new and longtime LHF volunteers alike, and especially students and Scouts in need of community service hours this fall, we need your help!
The Lake Loop - our annual bike, hike, paddle challenge set to take place on Sunday, October 6 at Hopatcong State Park - is our last fundraising event for 2024, and a terrific opportunity for our community to come together, get active, and celebrate Lake Hopatcong as an important recreational resource! Volunteers are needed for many jobs to ensure a smooth event and volunteering. Just a few hours of your time can make an enormous difference to our success!
All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and lunch voucher as a token of our gratitude for assisting with tasks such as setup, participant check-in, parking, and helping hikers, bikers, and paddlers. Additionally, all volunteers will be entered into a drawing for 4 free passes to FLG X NJ’s Adventure and Zipline Courses in Mount Arlington! Thank you FLG X for your support!
New this year: we are seeking help the day before with setup at the park and with organizing registration packets. We have also turned our 5K trail run into an interactive family-friendly hike, where hikers have the option to stop and learn about the lake and nature as they make their way along the route. Sign up today if you would like to help staff one of these stations! Training provided!
If you have questions about becoming a Lake Loop volunteer, please feel free to call us at 973-663-2500 or email Kari@lakehopatcongfoundation.org.
Thanks for considering, and we hope we can count on you as a Lake Loop volunteer!
