From October 8-15, our community hiked, biked, paddled, ran, swam, rowed, frisbee-golfed, moved and grooved for a combined 1,911 hours and miles of movement. Thank you to our 73 participants. We are awe-struck at the different types and amounts of activity you completed in seven days!
The Lake Loop is an annual activity and fundraising challenge, part of our efforts to foster a more vibrant and healthy lake and lake community. We are so proud to report that, this year, our community came together for 1,911 combined hours/miles and raised an inspiring $47,708 of our $50K goal to support our mission to protect the environment and enhance the experience on New Jersey’s largest lake. Many thanks to those who made a donation!
In addition to helping us protect and improve Lake Hopatcong, participants were also in the running to win prizes. Congrats to the individuals and teams that walked away with a prize for the most hours, miles, or fundraising, and thank you to our prize donors.
The Lake Loop is the last of our three big events in 2021, and as with the Lake Hopatcong Block Party and Set Sail gala and auction, it would not be possible without financial and in-kind support from our sponsors. Many thanks again to the following companies, who stepped up to support the virtual event:
Live The Lake NJ, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, Nisivoccia, Lawrence & Triste Brooks, Cycle Craft, Edward Jones, Franklin Mutual Insurance Company, Fulton Bank, The Law Firm of Gruber, Colabella, Liuzza, Thompson & Hiben, Jamis Bikes, Jimmy Geez North, Ultraflex Systems Inc., Lake's End Marina, Northeast Mountain Guiding, Ramsey Outdoor Stores, Hopatcong Lake Regional News, Lake Hopatcong News, Roxbury Register, TAPinto Roxbury, True Productions Digital Signage.
Thank you, too, to Hopatcong State Park, for hosting our Awards Ceremony and Celebration on Sunday, October 17 where, in between a few scattered showers, we were able to celebrate all of our Lake Loop participants and supporters.
Until next year, everyone, stay healthy, stay active, and Loop On!
Enjoy these photos of the event (and please send any photos you have of your activities to Caitlin@lakehopatcongfoundation.org).
