Did you see that? It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No-- it’s a drone! Join us on November 14 with esteemed Kean University lecturer, Joseph Sarnoski, for an informational presentation on the world of drones. His presentation will include discussing how industries across the globe have evolved to incorporate these unmanned aerial vehicles, with a specific focus on the environmental field. With a live demonstration on drone flying, this is bound to be a program you do not want to let fly over your head!
Joseph Sarnoski is a licensed drone pilot who has been flying drones for over 10 years. First introduced to these small aircraft during a mapping project in the Meadowlands of New Jersey, he now spreads his passion for drones in the classroom at Kean University, even creating a “Drone Piloting and Applications” minor at Kean University in 2022. Having utilized drones in the workplace and the classroom alike, he has connected many with the boundless capabilities that this new field provides for industries world-wide. Sarnoski has over 20 years of teaching experience, and he has spent summers running a program for high school students to learn about drones and their application in environmental studies at the nearby Kean Skylands campus since 2022.
