The 2025 Lake Hopatcong Block Party is just around the corner; it will boast more than 200 vendors with diverse offerings. Today, we’re going to “dig into” our list of food vendors, some of whom you may remember from last year’s Block Party, and some who will be fresh faces at the festivities on May 17. Be sure to keep an eye out for the following delicacies at this year’s Block Party. You’re in for a treat!
Angry Archie’s – Established in 2015 by Chef Chris Curado and his cousin Michael Ponte, Angry Archies is an award-winning food truck that features seafood staples like Maine lobster rolls, lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, crab poutine, and crab cake sandwiches. Non seafood dishes, like the “Angry Chicken Sandwich” and “Baja Veggie Burger,” and sides, are also available.
Byram Bay Bistro – Merging the hearty flavors of Polish cuisine with the vibrant zest of Jamaican dishes, Byram Bay Bistro creates a unique fusion experience! We want to give them an extra shout out for including us in their Toast program, where customers can round up their purchase at the restaurant and donate it to our organization. Be sure to visit them in Hopatcong after (or before!) the Block Party!
Camille’s Cookie Café – Bringing artisanal-style cookies to the event, Camille bakes her wares from scratch (with love!) from family recipes.
Coney Island Pizza – Coming from Riverdale, NJ, they make delicious wood-fired pizza. To quote them directly, “Food lovers beware, you’re in for a tasty surprise!”
Cosmic Kettle Corn - This freshly made kettle corn must be tried to be believed! The perfect snack to munch on as you walk the Block Party!
Dunkin – Our friend Patty Babb is back and will be setting up shop by the Pavilion, bringing coffee, donuts, and more for everyone to enjoy (the early morning volunteers are always especially happy to see Patty and her staff pull in!).
Empanada Lady – “Gotta blame the 2009 recession for Empanada Lady’s success,” Cyndi explains on her website. She put herself through culinary school and has been selling delicious empanadas at farmers markets and festivals in New Jersey and New York ever since!
House of Cupcakes – Cupcake recipes, made famous by Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, come from the brilliant minds of Ruthie and Ron Bzdewka. They offer 35 flavors of cupcakes, as well as other sweet indulgences!
Jefferson Dairy – Serving up some sweet creamy treats to keep attendees cool and also providing free ice cream cone coupons for our children’s scavenger hunt, while supplies last!
Knot of This World Pretzels – Living up to their name, Knot of This World will make your tastebuds blast off with their fresh, hand-twisted, soft pretzels!
Smokin Schmidty’s BBQ – Veteran-owned Smokin Schmidty’s is doing what they do best: making great barbeque. Try their famous pulled pork sliders, sausage, pepper, and onion sandwiches, baked beans, and pickles! YUM!
Succasunna United Methodist Church – SUMC is joining the Block Party to connect with the community and serve up warm funnel cakes and fried Oreos!
Totally Nutz - Fresh roasted cinnamon-glazed nuts crafted on-site. The sweet and savory scents alone make their stand a worthwhile visit!
We Squeeze to Please – Refreshing, freshly-squeezed lemonade and brewed iced tea, they also serve funnel cakes, nachos, steak sandwiches, tots, churros, and the list goes on!
Be sure to bring your appetite to the 2025 Lake Hopatcong Block Party. With so many mouth-watering vendors to choose from, you are sure to find something delicious. Thank you to the wonderful food vendors joining us at the Block Party on May 17!
