Lake Hopatcong Cruises will once again be honoring local veterans with two complimentary veterans' cruises on the Miss Lotta on Saturday, June 29. The first cruise (Jefferson and Hopatcong) will set sail from 9:00 to 11:00 am and the second cruise (Mt. Arlington and Roxbury) will set sail from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. You can take part in these tributes to our local veterans by cheering them on along their route!
In past years, veterans were celebrated with musical tributes, presentations, and hundreds of lake residents and supporters on the shoreline waving flags and cheering thanks to those who have served our country. Lakefront residents are encouraged to decorate their docks and cheer or wave flags from their property as Miss Lotta passes by. Residents can also meet and cheer at one of four suggested locations around the lake.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together to show appreciation for our veterans!
