Lake Hopatcong Foundation Scholarships
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation offers two $1,000 scholarships annually, each awarded in two possible categories which relate to the work of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation and its mission. The scholarships are one-time gifts, given to a senior in high school who is a resident (year-round or seasonal) of one of the four towns that surround Lake Hopatcong and has been accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school. Since 2015, LHF has awarded $6,000 to six high school seniors, investing not only in our youth’s education, but also in the future of Lake Hopatcong and other valuable freshwater resources.
The Lake Environment
This scholarship is awarded to a student who plans to study environmental science, environmental policy, ecology, or a similar field that focuses on the natural world and environmental conservation.
The Lake Experience
This scholarship is awarded to a student who plans to go into a field that is related to the lake experience, which includes public safety, marine trade, aquatic athletics, or a similar field.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE TUESDAY, MAY 1, 2018.
Note: Applications are submitted to the guidance departments at all three local public high schools (Hopatcong, Jefferson and Roxbury), but the scholarship is open to students at any high school, as long as they have a full- or part-time residence in one of the four towns bordering Lake Hopatcong.
