A wonderful afternoon – volunteer open house

We had such a wonderful afternoon this past Wednesday, April 10, during our volunteer open house.  Thank you to all who came out to have a little coffee and cake, mingle, and celebrate National Volunteer Week and the opening of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation Environmental and Cultural Center with us.

It is because of the more than 400 Lake Hopatcong Foundation volunteers that we have been able to accomplish so much in the past 7 years!  So thank you to all who have cleaned up the lake and our community, educated our youth, helped make events run smoothly, built and maintained trails, protected our lake from invasive aquatic plants and so much more!  It’s not just National Volunteer Week, but every week, that we honor the impact you make on fostering a vibrant and healthy Lake Hopatcong and its surrounding community.
