One of the real joys of the Holiday Season is this opportunity to say thank you to our supporters and friends for all you have helped us accomplish over the past year. Without you we wouldn’t have been able to:
- Coordinate a lake-wide cleanup, in conjunction with the 5-foot drawdown, in which more than 400 volunteers collected debris from 50+ access points around the lake including 4,000 drink containers, 300 plastic bags, 175 toys, 150 articles of clothing and more than 800 tires.
- Launch the Lake Hopatcong Floating Classroom, enhancing our educational field trip program which provided hands-on, STEM-based education to nearly 800 area students facilitating experiences that allow students to understand the relationships between human actions and their effect on the environment, in order to cultivate environmentally responsible behavior.
- Complete the first stage of the Lake Hopatcong Train Station rehabilitation project, allowing our staff to move into our new office space just before the start of 2019.
To all who helped to make these and so many more accomplishments possible, we extend our warmest wishes for the Holiday Season and a prosperous and peaceful New Year.
