Getting Your Boat Out of Storage? Recycle that Boat Shrink-Wrap!

The Following is a message from the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority:

In an effort to keep boat shrink-wrap out of the trash so that it can be recycled, a collection program for this material will be launched on April 11, 2018, on Lake Hopatcong at Lee’s County Park Marina, 443 Howard Boulevard, Mount Arlington, NJ 07856.

A blue, or green roll-off container with signs proclaiming “RECYCLE YOUR SHRINK WRAP HERE!” will be located at the marina between April 11, 2018, and June 20, 2018.  Anyone who has boat shrink-wrap (bundled and tied) may deliver it to the marina and stack it in the roll-off container between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. every day between April 11, 2018, and June 20, 2018. The shrink-wrap should be stacked neatly as far back as possible in the roll-off.

Over 153 tons of this material has been collected and diverted from landfill space through this program. For more information visit: http://www.mcmua.com/sw_recy_boatshrinkwraprecycling.asp. If you have any questions, please call 973-285-8394.
