It’s almost here! The Lake Hopatcong Block Party is next Saturday, May 21 at Hopatcong State Park. The event will feature nearly 200 vendors, a variety of food trucks, entertainment, children’s activities, boat and train rides, and more! We’re also expecting thousands of attendees, who at some point will be wondering, “Where do I park?” Read on! We’ve got you covered, so you can plan ahead.
First, a quick note for those planning to arrive early. While we are big fans of “the early bird gets the worm”, guests will not be permitted to enter Hopatcong State Park until 9:45 am, so that vendors and volunteers can safely and efficiently complete Block Party setup.
There will be EIGHT parking options at and near the Lake Hopatcong Block Party – the closest of which is onsite at Hopatcong State Park, for a $10 donation to the Lake Hopatcong Foundation. The other seven are free, and free shuttle service will be provided.
One of the seven offsite parking lots is reserved specifically for guests who plan to bring their dogs and is located at Full Life Assembly of God Church, which is within walking distance. Dogs are not permitted on the shuttles that will be available to bring most attendees from offsite lots. This lot will only open when the lot at Hopatcong State Park fills to capacity.

Please be cautious when driving in and near Hopatcong State Park on May 21. The Block Party can cause occasional congestion around the area, and we ask everyone to be patient and mindful of pedestrians and fellow motorists.
A HUGE thanks to all the above for working with us to make the Block Party as accessible as possible. With help, we’ve created and maintained more parking options for guests than in years prior. And we’re especially grateful for the participation of the town leaders and bus drivers for providing complimentary shuttle services for guests. Finally, thank you to the Roxbury Police Department, Morris County Sheriff’s Office, the New Jersey State Park Police, Mount Arlington CERT, and Live the Lake NJ for their assistance with traffic management and safety.
