We’re so close!

December 26, 2023| Advocacy, Community, Education, Environment, Fundraising, People

By: Kyle Richter

My friends,

We are so close to achieving our goal of raising $56,000 ($2 for every pound of trash removed at our lake-wide cleanup) before December 31, and your year-end gift will help us get there!

YES, I WANT TO HELP!

As with the lake-wide cleanup, many individual acts of generosity add up to a greater impact, and when you give, you join a community of people making a difference for Lake Hopatcong. Raising $56,000 will help us:

  • Expand our award-winning education program to more schools and more students (stay tuned for an exciting update on our education program in 2024)!
  • Continue to spearhead water quality improvement projects, like next year’s installation of a stormwater biofiltration basin in Jefferson Township.
  • Offer low- and no-cost events and programs that bring the community together, such as our guided hikes, paddles, eco-cruises, educational seminars at the LHF Environmental and Cultural Center, and the Lake Hopatcong Block Party.
  • Advocate for more resources, more innovation, and more help from our elected officials, from Trenton to D.C.

I want to personally thank everyone who has contributed towards our goal and reaffirm for those who are still considering a donation that your support allows us to continue making Lake Hopatcong the best it can be, now and for the future.

With gratitude,

Kyle Richter and the LHF Team

In November, we launched our “Keep Lake Hopatcong Clean and Healthy” campaign, with a goal of raising $56K – or, $2 for every pound of trash we removed at our lake-wide cleanup. To capture the momentum of this campaign, we remove a piece of trash for every donation we receive and replace it with the donor’s name on our giving board. We’re so close to “cleaning up” our entire lake! Thank you for considering us for a year-end gift.
