We are so pleased to welcome Kyle Richter to the LHF team as executive director. Kyle has a decade of experience in the field of environmental conservation. He comes to us from the Musconetcong Watershed Association, where he served as watershed programs manager for seven years, leading its education and outreach programs and managing restoration projects throughout the watershed.
Originally from Naples, Fla., Kyle came to New Jersey to study at Rutgers University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine science. He also holds a professional certificate in watershed management from Michigan State University.
You can meet Kyle at our virtual annual meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, April 14, from 7-8 pm on Zoom. All are welcome to join. You can find out more and register HERE. You can also reach out to him directly at kyle@lakehopatcongfoundation.org.
We are confident Kyle's experience along with his enthusiasm and easy-going manner will serve the Lake Hopatcong community well.
In his own words...
I'm excited to be joining the Lake Hopatcong Foundation team as the next executive director. Having spent my career working close to Lake Hopatcong, I've had the privilege of watching the LHF grow, almost from the beginning.
I've been amazed by the work the Foundation team has been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time, from launching its floating classroom, to renovating the Lake Hopatcong train station to become the Environmental and Cultural Center, to leading the charge in helping to tackle serious issues impacting the lake.
Lake Hopatcong is a special place to many people and I'm honored to help lead the Foundation in protecting the lake and supporting the community so it remains a special place for generations to come.
We hope you will join us in celebrating the arrival of the newest member of our team. Welcome, Kyle!
