We are excited to welcome Michela Sales to the LHF team as our summer intern.
Michela is currently completing her Junior year at Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey, where she is pursuing a major in Environmental Science with a focus on Sustainable Business. While at Centenary, Michela has volunteered on a number of research projects including water quality and microplastic sampling on the Musconetcong River.
In her first two weeks with us, Michela has already proven to be an asset to our team. She has been assisting with numerous administrative projects as well as the organization of our upcoming field trip program, which will welcome over 1,300 students from 25 schools in May and June! Michela is passionate about connecting communities to the environment and is looking forward to educating students on lake ecology and protecting our water resources during the field trip program and aboard the Floating Classroom this summer.
Michela is conscientious, hard-working, and a pleasure to have in the office. We are very fortunate to have her with us through the fall, thanks to a generous grant from the James P. Verhalen Family Foundation. We hope you get the chance to meet her at one of our many upcoming events.
Welcome, Michela!
