Our volunteers are our superheroes. They are the backbone of our programs and initiatives - from trail work to invasive species removal, to our floating classroom and educational field trips. Without them, our big outreach and fundraising events, like the Block Party, annual gala, and Lake Loop simply would not be possible. And, volunteers are the unsung heroes behind the less-glamorous but very necessary work of getting mailings and communications out to our larger constituency (like our most recent group pictured below helping to get our spring mailing out).
We are always in need of more volunteers, to support and grow these programs and initiatives. For this reason, if you have thought about volunteering with the Foundation, we encourage you to attend our upcoming virtual volunteer orientation on Thursday, May 13, at 7 pm, on Zoom.
At this orientation, we’ll provide a brief overview of this year’s opportunities. Volunteers past, present, and future are encouraged to join us to hear what’s new for 2021, and to better understand our mutual rights and responsibilities, as we work together to get lots of meaningful work done this year – and have a lot of fun while doing it!
Please register for the orientation here, and keep tuned into the volunteer section of our website, where we will be including registration for specific jobs and opportunities, as they are finalized.
Thank you, for your interest in stepping up and creating meaningful, positive change for our lake and our community!
