The Lake Hopatcong Foundation's Virtual Auction is now open for bidding! You can win or buy some truly unique items and experiences that support a vibrant and healthy Lake Hopatcong!
New this year, we have identified five urgently needed items that directly support our growing education programs. Participants in our auction can choose to fund all or part of much-needed teaching tools, like a new EnviroScape watershed model, dissolved oxygen meters, microscopes, and other items that help us educate nearly 2,000 in the spring - and prepare us for our brand-new high school program in the fall.
Also new this year, we have a selection of three truly spectacular items in our "premier auction.” You can golf at the most private club in the State of New Jersey, you can hoist the sails on an exciting Hudson River sailing adventure, and you can take a sunset cruise with Lake Hopatcong Charters, complete with wine and appetizers, before enjoying a three-course meal at Stone Water. While all the items in this year's auction are unique and special, this spectacular selection is meant to wow bidders and each has a reserve, to maximize the funds we can raise to protect and improve Lake Hopatcong.
In addition, we have many "instant items" again this year, which are items you can purchase rather than win. You can buy a seat on an exclusive club car excursion, be part of a private film screening, take a very special Miss Lotta cruise, order a jar (or two, or three...) of Commodore Mike's Famous Yacht Sauce - and more (purchasers will be charged when the auction closes on July 18).
To help you discover items and opportunities you might like, we encourage participants to use the "categories" feature, which will separate experiences, sports, history, and other categories of prizes.
Bidding will end on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30pm, and we expect this year’s auction to be incredibly popular, so don’t miss out! Winners need not attend the gala to win (we can arrange pick-up or drop-off of your prize). Bid and bid to win!
All auction items were made available through the generosity of donors, and we are deeply grateful for that support, as well as the hard work of our 2024 Gala Committee. Everything we raise through our gala and auction supports our programs and helps us more effectively protect and improve Lake Hopatcong and the surrounding community.
