Were you interested in supporting the Lake Hopatcong Foundation through our recent virtual auction, but “missed the boat”? Fear not! There are still two ways you can support us by taking advantage of two unique experiences!
Hop on the Miss Lotta and head over to #54 on Halsey Island to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon enjoying the home and surroundings that rest on the land of the former summer cottage known as Cedar Crest, where famous painter and author Eric Sloane grew up. Enjoy cocktails and plated hors d'oeuvres along with live entertainment by local talent.
In addition to touring and learning about the history of the elegant cottages that make up Breslin Park, site of the former Breslin Hotel, this walk will now include a very special visit inside the former home of Breslin Park's most famous resident, Miss Lotta Crabtree! Beautifully restored, the cottage Lotta's mother had famous American architect Frank Furness design for her and then presented as a gift in 1885 is open exclusively to this group, thanks to the generosity of Sherry & Bob O'Donnell. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to see one of the lake’s most beautiful homes and learn its history!
Tickets for these items are no longer available.
Both excursions are “instant items.” Rather than bidding, you are purchasing an individual spot. For more spots, simply change the number under “Enter the number to buy.” We hope you take advantage of these two opportunities, and we thank you for supporting our work to protect and improve Lake Hopatcong for all!
