Twas three weeks before the gala, and tickets were flying.
Supporters registered for the auction, anticipating prizes worth buying.
The committee made baskets, all tied up with bows.
They organized the auction items, neatly into rows.
Stone Water crafted menus that were sure to please.
Journal advertisers submitted beautiful ads, at which there is nothing to sneeze!
The band was booked, the music highly recommended.
Photos of 10 years of programs were assembled, by the donors on which they depended.
(Short) speeches were written, to welcome our guests.
Awards for our honorees were ordered (because they deserve the best).
And we continued to count down the days until we could welcome all our friends,
to help us celebrate a decade of our Foundation, and what might be ‘round the bend.
