With the winter months coming to an end and boating season on the horizon, many boat owners are beginning to remove the protective shrink wrap from their vessels. If you're among them and are seeking an environmentally friendly way to dispose of the shrink wrap, we have a solution for you: recycle it!
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation, Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority, Roxbury Clean Communities, and Jefferson Township have partnered with UltraPoly, a Pennsylvania-based company, to offer free shrink wrap recycling. Boaters around Lake Hopatcong can bring their properly prepared shrink wrap for recycling to the Jefferson Health Center on May 4 from 9 am to 1 pm.
When: May 4, 9 am to 1 pm
Where: Jefferson Health Center, 57 Minnisink Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849
How to prepare your shrink wrap for recycling:
Staff from the Lake Hopatcong Foundation will be present onsite to oversee the proper handling of shrink wrap for recycling. Additionally, representatives from UltraPoly will be available to discuss shrink wrap recycling and showcase what your recycled shrink wrap will be transformed into.
We welcome you to participate in this recycling initiative to reduce waste and contribute to a more sustainable environment. See you there!
