It’s almost here! The Lake Hopatcong Block Party is next Saturday, October 2 at Hopatcong State Park. The event will feature over 150 vendors, food, entertainment, children’s activities, boat and trackless train rides, and more! We’re also expecting thousands of attendees, who at some point will be asking, “Where do I park?” Well, read on! We’ve got you covered, so you can plan ahead.
First, a quick note for those planning to arrive early: while we are big fans of “the early bird gets the worm”, guests will not be permitted to enter Hopatcong State Park until 9:45 am so that vendors and volunteers can safely and efficiently complete setup of the event.
Please also note, federal mask mandates require face masks on public transportation and masks will be required to ride on all event shuttles, so don’t forget your mask (we will have a limited number of paper masks available)!
On to the parking...
There are EIGHT parking options on October 2 – the closest being onsite at the State Park, for a $10 donation to the Lake Hopatcong Foundation.
One of these eight parking lots is within walking distance (at Full Life Assembly of God Church) and is reserved for guests who plan to bring their dogs, as dogs are not permitted on the shuttles that will ferry the majority of attendees from offsite lots. This lot will only open when the lot at Hopatcong State Park fills to capacity.

A HUGE thanks to all the above for working with us to make the Block Party as accessible as possible. With help, we’ve created more parking options for attendees than ever before. And we’re especially grateful for the participation of the town leaders and shuttle drivers for providing complimentary shuttle bus service. Finally, thank you to the Roxbury Police Department, the Hopatcong Police Department, and Explorers, the New Jersey State Park Police, and Live the Lake NJ for their assistance with traffic management and safety.
Please be cautious and drive safely on Oct 2. This Block Party can cause occasional congestion around the area, and we ask everyone to be patient and mindful of pedestrians and fellow motorists.
