Join us for an engaging community program on July 10 with Patrick Harrison, owner of Harbee Beekeeping, as he delves into the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping. Patrick will share his insights on how he is working to help honeybees, promote local food, and educate the public about the essential role of beekeepers. From daily routines to monthly responsibilities, you’ll gain an understanding of what it takes to manage a beekeeping operation. The presentation will include a demonstration of a live hive of bees. A selection of local honey, less common exotic varieties, and pure beeswax candles will be available for purchase. Cash is preferred; credit cards are accepted.
Patrick Harrison is a dedicated beekeeper managing about 200 hives. Driven by a passion for sustainability, Patrick founded Harbee Beekeeping to address the gap in the environmental sector concerning for-profit businesses. His work focuses on sustainable beekeeping, now recognized as regenerative agriculture, which has become a central pillar of his life's pursuit. Through Harbee Beekeeping, Patrick aims to support honeybee populations and educate the community about the importance of bees in our ecosystem.
