Lake Loop is an and-or-athon, a fun athletic endeavor consisting of three different events; where you can choose to participate in a 20-, 40- or 62-mile scenic bike ride, and-or a 1.5-mile or 5K timed trail run and-or a 2.5-mile paddle.
Lake Loop 2019 isn’t just an athletic event though, it’s so much more! Whether you are doing one or all of the events, there will be an area to relax, eat, and enjoy some live entertainment before and after your event. You can also play games like cornhole and giant Jenga and Connect Four, sign up for a massage, have fun in the photo booth or just enjoy the view and friends.

Bagels from Anthony and Sons Bakers and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee will be available starting at 8 am and lunch, provided by Alice’s and The Windlass, with be served starting at 10:30 am.

Live music provides a festive and relaxed atmosphere before, after, and even in between your events. Feel free to sing along or even get up and dance!
10:00 AM – Ædan McEvoy – Eccentric composer and performer Ædan McEvoy (BMI) writes music that has been described as “quirky,” “whimsical,” “other-worldly,” and “honest.” A lover of all music, Ædan is influenced by classical, rock, folk, indie, new age, world, jazz, and trance music. Her unique interpretations make her a sought-after composer, songwriter, and collaborator. Ædan is a keyboardist, harpist, vocalist, and singer/songwriter of her original music and performs throughout the Tri-state area.
11:00 PM – Byrdgrass – In 2008, a few veterans of the North Jersey music scene decided to get together to play some music and have a little fun….and Byrdgrass was born. That energy is contagious to the audiences who have welcomed Maribyrd, Randy Artiglere, Tim Dempsey and John Christie to stages throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Dynamic harmonies and byrd’s unique vocals, backed by various traditional acoustic instruments, blended with electric guitar and drums make Byrdgrass a one of a kind band.
1:00 PM – Mr. Joe Show – Big Joe is the founder and frontman of the Irish Harpers, the ringleader of our St. Patricks circus, and a surrogate father to all the young, ramblin’ rebels out there. His tales of whiskey and danger ignite the crowd into a frenzy of awe and fear, and then just as quickly, he may croon them into the nostalgic warmth of an Irish lullaby. While the sorted details of his mythical adventures must remain a matter of legend, heed this warnin’ from me, do not test the strength of our fearless leader!
There will be a special opportunity for Lake Loop participants to meet and talk with the Mayors of each of the four communities surrounding Lake Hopatcong. Hopatcong Mayor Michael Francis, Jefferson Mayor Eric Wilsusen, Mount Arlington Mayor Michael Stanzilis, and Roxbury Mayor Bob DeFillippo will be available from 9-10 am. Come and say hi to our elected officials!
