Lake Hopatcong Trail Moving Along

We have been hard at work building and blazing the Hopatcong leg of the Lake Hopatcong Trail, a trail system that will encircle the entire lake and be approximately 40 miles long when completed. The Hopatcong section of the trail starts on the towpath across from Hopatcong State Park, winds through Hopatcong Borough towards the Prospect Point Preserve and continues into Jefferson Township.

We will be wrapping up the trail building on this section over the next several weeks.  Don’t miss out on being part of Lake Hopatcong history! Sign up to receive emails about our upcoming trail workdays by selecting Recreational Trail Work in the pull down menu of our Volunteer Opportunities Form. Let’s blaze new trails together!

Also, SAVE THE DATE for our official trail opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, September 23.

Thanks to all have given their time and energy to this project.  Below are just SOME of the groups who have helped out.
