Kids Hike and Learn During Summer Camp

We are thrilled the kids from Camp Innovate in Hopatcong were able to hike on the Lake Hopatcong Trail as well as learn about water ecology and watersheds on the Floating Classroom this summer!  Campers ventured on a hike along the Lake Hopatcong trail with LHF Trails Committee Chair Cliff Lundin as their guide. They discovered three salamanders, four frogs and a snake while on their nature hike!  The campers also spent some time on the floating classroom and learned about ways to keep our lake clean at Hopatcong State Park.

We received the following thank you card from all the kids, which certainly put a smile on all of our faces :).
