Join us for an Evening of Food and Fun for a Great Cause

Don’t miss out!  Enjoy an old-fashioned beefsteak dinner and basket raffle at St. Jude’s Church Parish Hall (40 Maxim Dr, Hopatcong, NJ 07843) on Saturday evening, November 4, starting at 6:00 pm. The dinner will be catered by the legendary Hap Nightingale’s of Clifton.

Beefsteak dinners originated in the 19th century and Hap Nightingale’s has been catering them for almost as long as the station building has stood in Landing! In addition to the dinner there will be a short historical program on the station, as well as a basket raffle with some great prizes to be won! Baskets will feature the New York Giants, New York Jets, theatre tickets, sporting goods, golf, skiing, breweriana, Lake Hopatcong gifts and memorabilia, dining experiences and more.

All proceeds from the beefsteak and basket raffle will benefit the ongoing restoration of the Lake Hopatcong train station which originally opened in 1911 and will soon serve as the offices for the Lake Hopatcong Foundation as well as a community and information center.

We are still in need of donations for baskets, click HERE for more information on how you can help.

Tickets are $35 each and include beefsteak, french fries, salad, dessert, soda and water. You may bring your own beer or wine. Join us for a great night!

The evening will also include a 50/50 raffle to benefit the programs and initiatives of the Foundation. Tickets are $10 each and there will be a first, second and third place winner.  Winners will be drawn the night of the beefsteak, however, advance tickets can be purchased (cash or check only – cash only the night of the beefsteak).  Contact 973-663-2500 or The winner need not be present.

Good luck!
