Be safe on the ice

It’s been a bit of a weather roller coaster this winter.  From seriously deep freezes to temperatures in the 60s last week, the thermometer has been jumping up and down like an equalizer bouncing to the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Snow (Hey Oh).”

Lots of people have been out walking, skating, ice fishing and even snowmobiling on the lake.  With such erratic weather, it’s especially important to make sure you know how to tell when the ice is safe, how to prepare for a day on the ice and what to do if you run into any problems.
