Upcoming community cleanup opportunities



There are several cleanup opportunities coming in the next few weeks to do a little spring cleaning in your community. Every little bit helps, so jump in, grab a bag and let’s make a difference!

Saturday, April 13 – 9 amThe Musconetcong Watershed Association 27th Annual River Cleanup – Volunteers will be provided with gloves, bags, and a snack. Please bring a reusable water bottle, but water will also be provided.  If you want to walk in the river, waders or rubbers boots are recommended. Saturday, April 27 – 8:30-10:30 am – Lake Hopatcong Foundation Adopt-A-Road Cleanup – Meet at the Nixon School lower level parking lot at 8:30 am (275 Mt Arlington Blvd, Landing) to help clean up along Mt. Arlington Blvd from Bertrand Island Road to Lake’s End Marina. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, bags, and a snack.  No registration necessary.

Saturday, April 27 – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Jefferson Township Community Cleanup – On the cleanup day, meet at the Department of Public Works office (4 Sparta Mountain Road, Oak Ridge – just off Weldon Road) between 8:00 and 8:45 am to enjoy a light breakfast. Then pick up supplies (gloves, bags, vest) and head out to assigned area. To register, call Patty Romano by April 24 at 973-208-3639.
