Join us for an old-fashioned Beefsteak Dinner to Benefit the Lake Hopatcong Train Station
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation will host an old-fashioned Beefsteak Dinner at St. Jude’s Church Parish Hall (40 Maxim Dr, Hopatcong, NJ 07843) on Saturday evening, November 4, starting at 6:00 pm. The dinner will be catered by the legendary Hap Nightingale’s of Clifton.
Beefsteak dinners originated in the 19th century and Hap Nightingale’s has been catering them for almost as long as the station building has stood in Landing. In addition to the dinner there will be a short historical program on the station, as well as a basket raffle with some great prizes to be won.
All proceeds from the beefsteak and basket raffle will benefit the ongoing restoration of the Lake Hopatcong train station which originally opened in 1911 and will soon serve as the offices for the Lake Hopatcong Foundation as well as a community and information center.
Tickets are $35 each and include beefsteak, french fries, salad, dessert, soda and water. You may bring your own beer or wine.
