2018 LHF Annual Meeting and Floating Classroom Christening

Thank you to everyone that attended our 2018 Annual Meeting on May 4, 2018, at the Garden State Yacht Club in Hopatcong.  The evening began with the christening of the Lake Hopatcong Floating Classroom.  The vessel was christened, Study Hull, at the docks of the yacht club while a crowd of more than 75 cheered and echoed the sentiment – safe journeys.

Special thanks were expressed to the USA TODAY Network’s “A Community Thrives” program , the James P. Verhalen Family Foundation and the Szigethy family for funding the purchase of the vessel.

The meeting was then moved indoors where LHF staff and board members presented updates on the Foundation’s latest projects and initiatives as well as our current financial picture. Finally, a Q&A session was held and dessert and coffee were served.  A special thank you the Garden State Yacht Club for hosting the meeting as well as generously donating the refreshments.  The full photo album from the evening can be viewed HERE.
